Act Against AIDS: 9 1/2 Minutes
April 7, 2009: The White House launched a five-year push to educate Americans about HIV/AIDS's prevalence within the U.S., with a communications strategy centered on alerting people to the statistic that every 9 1/2 minutes, someone in the U.S. becomes infected with HIV.



AIDS Clinical Trials Information Service (ACTIS)
ACTIS provides current information on federal & private sponsored clinical trials for persons with AIDS/HIV infection. This web site includes two online databases (one on trial protocols & one on drugs) and general information on clinical drug trial sites.


AIDS Education Global Information System (AEGIS)
AEGIS is a comprehensive HIV knowledge base which includes AIDS Daily News Summaries; reprints of articles from select national & metropolitan newspapers; a database search engine linked to the National Library of Medicine; select conference summaries & conference calendars


AIDS Network
Through a network of services and partnerships, AIDS Network provides support, education and opportunities for well-being to everyone touched by HIV/AIDS.

AIDS Treatment Data Network (The Network)
The Network is a national not-for-profit, community-based organization maintaining comprehensive and current information databases on AIDS/HIV treatments, research studies, services, & access to care. This website includes a directory of clinical trials, simple fact sheets on various things and the newsletter TREATMENT REVIEW.


AIDSinfo
AIDSinfo provides information about federally approved treatment guidelines for HIV and AIDS. There is a toll-free telephone line staffed by bilingual (English & Spanish) health information specialists as well as Live Help, an internet help line This website contains a variety of resource information regarding the medical management of HIV disease.


American Association for World Health
AAHW is a private national organinzation dedicated to developing & distributing practical public health education/promotional materials to community leaders.


American Social Health Association (ASHA)
ASHA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention and elimination of sexually transmitted diseases. This web site includes information about ASHA activities, publications, general information about STDs, related national hotlines, and an online catalog.


CDC Divison of HIV-AIDS Prevention (DHAP)
Lead CDC agency responsible for coordinating and directing HIV/AIDS prevention and surveillance programs and activities. This site includes: basic HIV/AIDS-related statistics, conference information, funding opportunities, consumer-oriented health informations, and links to other sites.

Subscribers may choose from a variety of mailing lists pertaining to HIV/AIDS information, updates, etc. which are delieveried periodically via email.

This is the information clearinghouse on HIV/AIDS for the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This internet site is accessible in English and Spanish.


Center for AIDS Intervention Research (CAIR)
Web site of the Center for AIDS Intervention Research (CAIR) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. CAIR is a multidisciplinary HIV prevention research center dedicated to the developement, conduct and evaluation of new strategies to prevent HIV among high risk populations.


Food and Drug Administration (FDA) AIDS
This web site is the central repository of HIV-related information and activities of the FDA.


Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA)
The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association is an organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) physicians, medical students, and their supporters. GLMA works to combat homophobia within the medical profession and in society at large.

A newer web site coordinated by the University of California, San Francisco, the AIDS Program at San Francisco General Hospital, the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies, and the Henery J Kaiser Family Foundation. This site includes, medical information, prevention materials, social policy information, community and research resources and much more.

National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC)
NCCHC is a national organization directed at improving the quality of health care in the nation's jails, prisons, and juvenile detention and confinement centers. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)

National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC)
NMAC is a national AIDS organization which develops and promotes programs and services for community-based organizations serving people of color affected by HIV/AIDS.


North American Syringe Exchange Network (NASEN)

Project Inform

As part of the University Health Services at UW-Madison the Wisconsin Clearinghouse provides educational materials, training and consultation services on prevention programs with a special focus on alcohol and drug abuse prevention.

Wisconsin HIV Community Planning Network
Wisconsin HIV Community Planning Network assists your community and the Wisconsin Division of Public Health (DPH) in the development, implementation and prioritization of HIV prevention and care services in Wisconsin. This network assumed the responsibilities of both the Wisconsin Ryan White consortium and the Wisconsin HIV Community Planning Council in 2007.

Life Care Services and Early Intervention HIV Life Care Services and Early Intervention are two programs for persons living with HIV disease. They are funded by the Division of Public Health with state general purpose revenue (GPR) dollars and are operated by AIDS Service Organizations (ASOs). The Division contracts with ASOs to provide these programs directly or through subcontracts with other community service providers in their respective regions.
National Quality Center: Improving HIV Care The National Quality Center provides no-cost, state-of-the-art technical assistance to all Ryan White Program-funded grantees to improve the quality of HIV care nationwide.
